Take Part in Healthy You Weekends, Learn New Skills in Camp STEAMOLOGY and Crack the Jewel Thief Case in the Scooby-Doo!™ Mansion Mayhem Traveling Exhibit
There’s so much to see and do at the Museum of Discovery and Science (MODS) in November! Families will learn the secrets to longevity during Healthy You Weekends plus put their problem-solving skills to the test and dive into food science during this month’s Camp STEAMology experiences. Don’t miss the opportunity to hone your scientific sleuthing abilities in Scooby-Doo!™ Mansion Mayhem.

Dive into the mysteries of what keeps our bodies healthy and strong during Healthy You Weekends on Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sundays, from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. Discover why eating your fruits and vegetables is essential and why staying active is necessary for a happy and healthy life. Test the speed of your reflexes with unique exercises and challenge your mental prowess with brain teasers that’ll leave you scratching your head. For our youngest health enthusiasts (ages 0-6), it’s a day of hands-on fun. Create a healthy plate, sort yummy food, get those little bodies moving with obstacle courses and learn the importance of good hand hygiene. Included with Museum admission.
Part of a healthy outlook is a healthy mind! MODS keeps young ones (ages 5 – 10) active and engaged when school is out during Camp STEAMology! On Election Day, November 5, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., it’s a day of whodunnit as children don their detective hats to dive into a thrilling mystery at MODS with Scooby-Doo!™ and the Mystery Inc. gang in the Scooby-Doo!™ Mansion Mayhem exhibit. Kids will investigate crime scenes, analyze fingerprints and find hidden clues to crack the case of the jewel-thieving ghost! Scooby-Doo!™ Mansion Mayhem was produced by The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis in partnership with Warner Bros. It is locally presented by Florida Prepaid College Savings Plan and sponsored by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. The exhibit runs through January 5, 2025.
From November 25 – 27 and on November 29, MODS’ Camp STEAMology celebrates STEM with curiosity and hands-on fun! Young scientists will conduct exciting experiments, become kitchen chemists and explore how to protect our planet. They’ll also create innovative city designs and complete awesome projects. MODS will be closed on November 28 – Thanksgiving Day.
Presented by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, a one-day Camp STEAMology session costs $90 for members and $100 for non-members while the four-day camp costs $300 for members and $350 for non-members. For a multi-child discount, save $10 off the total by using code “10off” at check out. Aftercare tuition starts at $20 per child for a one-day Camp and $50 for four days. Tap into the spirit of well-being and gratitude of the season with the IMAX films. Australia: The Wild Continent takes audiences on an immersive journey through Australia’s stunning landscapes, uncovering hidden stories of unique wildlife, ancient traditions and geological wonders shaped over 45 million years. Also playing is Superhuman Body: World of Medical Marvels, exploring the inner workings of the human body and the incredible breakthroughs in science and bioengineering that are changing the course of human health, and Jane Goodall: Reasons for Hope, an uplifting journey around the globe to highlight good news stories that will inspire people to make a difference in the world around them, drawn from decades of work by the world’s most famous living naturalist.
