FREE Museum Admission for Active-Duty Military Families, May 16-Sept. 7, 2026

2026 Dates: May 16 – September 7, 2026 MODS is proud to participate in the Blue Star Museums program, offering free Museum admission to active-duty military personnel and their families from Saturday, May 16, 2026 (Armed Forces Day), through Monday, Sept. 7, 2026 (Labor Day). Blue Star Museums is a national collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense and museums across the country. The program provides FREE admission to those currently serving in the United States military, including the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, National Guard and Reserve. FREE Museum admission is available to military ID holders and up to five family members. The military ID holder may be an active-duty service member or a dependent family member with an eligible ID. The active-duty service member does not need to be present for family members to participate. Eligible guests include those currently serving in the U.S. military, including Reservists, National Guard members, U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps and NOAA Commissioned Corps. Guests must present one of the following forms of identification at the Museum box office: Children younger than 10 without a military ID are welcome to attend with a parent or guardian who presents eligible military identification. Blue Star Museums guests may upgrade their visit to include an IMAX® documentary film on the GIANT screen for $5 per person upon arrival at the Museum box office.
