2019 OCean explorers camp
Our Ocean Explorers Camp is designed for incoming 7th and 8th graders. Campers will spend two days at the Museum and three days at Florida Atlantic University’s SeaTech Institute for Ocean and Systems Engineering in Dania Beach. They get to meet and interact with Sea Tech’s world-class faculty who, along with their team of scientists and graduate students, conduct advanced engineering research and technology development aimed at solving problems in the ocean.
Campers will explore coastal marine and coral reef ecosystems, conduct estuary and barrier island field work and tour FAU’s ocean engineering and electronics labs, submarine, and flow tunnel. They’ll also learn about sea turtles and marine science careers and even get to design, build, and race a solar-powered boat.
