In this rapidly evolving environment, educators’ roles have never been more important. The Museum of Discovery and Science (MODS) is here to support you. Take advantage of our boredom-busting experiences – whether your learners are at home or in virtual classrooms.

The Museum offers super science shows and demonstrations, wild Creature Feature animal encounters, awesome avatar tours and private experiences, mind-blowing Makerspace labs, engaging field trips and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) curricula, professional development workshops for educators, distinguished speakers, and more.

MODS has engineered weekly lesson plans with hands-on activities aligned with Florida’s new Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking (BEST) standards for students of all grade levels. The MODS Challenge invites students, teachers and parents in PreK through grade 12 to solve real-world problems through STEM and project-based learning. Our goal is to aid educators in keeping the passion for curiosity and learning alive as well as provide a variety of innovative programs that can be tailored to your curriculum. Our commitment is to ensure each activity and lesson sparks excitement to keep learners of all ages engaged, inspired and empowered.

Our commitment to connecting people to inspiring science is stronger than ever – and so is our unprecedented need for support. Please consider making a donation today or becoming a member today.

MODS and AutoNation® IMAX® Theater are currently closed to the public.

For more than 40 years, MODS has served as your trusted source for science education in the South Florida community. Our deepest commitment is to create the safest environment possible for our guests, staff, volunteers and animals that call MODS home.

With the Governor’s Executive Order 20-244 and Broward County’s Emergency Order 20-26, MODS’ Healthy Scientists Make Healthy Choices Protocol remains steadfast and unchanged at this time. Based on science and the realities of the pandemic, we will make protocol updates and ultimately reopen our doors to the public when we believe it is safest to do so. For everyone's protection, face masks will be required inside the Museum.

We look forward to welcoming the public back to the Museum in the near future. Until then, please connect with us for incredible virtual or safe drive-thru experiences. For Museum updates, visit our website at mods.org or sign up for our newsletter to see the coolest content first! Thank you for your understanding, trust and support during these exceptional times.
