Sports Spectacular! Fall into Action Weekends in November

November 5, 2022 @ 10:00 am 5:00 pm

Learn the exciting science behind sports! Challenge yourself using physics to solve some of sports’ greatest questions. Why do golf balls have dimples, footballs fly faster through the air in spirals and curveballs curve? Test your engineering and athletic skills by constructing a mini golf course and hitting a hole-in-one!

Exhibits, Shows and Demos: Explore Powerful You, participate in Panther Prowl sponsored by the Florida Panthers and test your engineering and athletic skills in the To Fly Makerspace.

Animal Encounters: Learn about turtles in our Turtle Talk, as well as fast facts, history and conservation of sharks at Shark Cart.

Watch an IMAX on the GIANT Screen: Everest, Superpower Dogs, Ancient Caves, Wings Over Water and more!

Career Connections: Learn what it is to be in an athlete, environmentalist, mathematician, an educator and more!

Just for early learners (ages 0-6): observe why balls fall at different speeds, create your own golf course, experiment with ramps, as well as create your own golf ball painting and a make-and-take cup and ball game. Get introduced to famous women in sports and how they made an impact.
