Engineering Weekends in February

February 3 @ 10:00 am 5:00 pm

Saturdays: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sundays: 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.

What do engineers do? They design and build structures using tools and machines. What can you engineer to solve a problem? Think, create, test and improve your engineering skills with us at MODS!

  • Exhibits, Shows and Demos: Design and create various structures. Learn about the first steps of engineering and what it takes to become an engineer. Tinker with tools and get hands-on with the building and design of a resilient city.
  • Animal Encounters: Meet our resident animal ambassadors and find out how they engineer their habitats.
  • Watch an IMAX on the GIANT Screen: Extend your visit and watch a showing of Dream Big: Engineering Our World and Cities of the Future (opening February 16.)
  • Career Connections: Explore careers in engineering, architecture, city planning and more!

Just for early learners (ages 0-6): Young engineers can build structures with LEGO® bricks, DUPLO® blocks, or MAGNA-TILES® and use various materials to experiment with building high towers. Learn about women in science and the impact they have made.

Cost: Included with Museum admission.
