Earth Day

April 22 @ 10:00 am 5:00 pm

Little Learners can celebrate Earth Day by learning about how to protect our beautiful home. Become an environmental steward by learning about everyday routines like recycling, reusing materials and reducing waste.

  • Exhibits, Shows and Demos: Bring in a few pieces of used paper and learn the process of making paper pulp. Then, make-and-take an upcycled paper pulp Earth that provides a sustainable habitat for native wildflower plants to thrive. Learn how to plant a seed and what it needs to grow up strong and healthy. Create your Chicka Chicka Boom Boom tree after joining in on our Earth Day storytime and learn how planting trees and other plants gives back to our planet!
  • Animal Encounters: Meet MODS’ animal ambassadors and learn how we can live in harmony with all creatures on planet Earth.
  • Watch an IMAX on the GIANT Screen: Enjoy a screening of Back from the Brink, Jane Goodall: Reasons for Hope, Cities of the Future and more!
  • Career Connections: Learn about careers in environmental science and conservation.
