Broward Read for the Record

February 26 @ 10:00 a.m. 12:00 p.m.

Reading Together. Growing Together.

Join us for Broward Read for the Record as we celebrate early literacy with special read-aloud of “See Marcus Grow,” written by Marcus Bridgewater and illustrated by Reggie Brown.

In this vibrant story, young Marcus learns life lessons in his grandmother’s garden, discovering that growing plants and growing people both take patience, care and time. Through reading, hands-on activity stations and a garden tour, early learners will explore themes of curiosity, nurturing and growth in a fun, engaging environment.

Broward Read for the Record, a countywide initiative promoting early literacy, is led locally by the Children’s Services Council of Broward County, in partnership with Broward County Public Schools and the Early Learning Coalition of Broward, and is part of Jumpstart’s Read for the Record, the world’s largest shared reading experience.

Reading, activity stations and a guided garden tour of the Food Forest will take place between 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Included with Museum admission.
