Dinosaur Boneyard
Dinosaur Eggs
The largest dinosaur eggs found were shaped like giant footballs and are about 19 inches long. They belong to a meat-eater from Asia called segnosaurus. Baby dinosaurs grew fast after hatching. In six weeks they could double in size.
Tyrannosaurus Rex
The Tyrannosaurus rex was one of the largest carnivorous dinosaurs to ever live, coming in at up to 13 feet (4 meters) tall. The Tyrannosaurus rex had about 50 teeth, as large as 8 inches.
Triceratops Horridus
The Triceratops Horridus was a herbivore. The Triceratops's head measured 4 to 5 feet (1.2 to 1.5 meters) across and was ornamented with impressive horns and a head plate.
Ankylosaurus
Even without its armor, it would be difficult to kill the Ankylosaurus due to its “rotund body” / “relatively flat" body. The ankylosaurs can be divided into three groups: the Polacanthidae (a group with large shoulder spikes and a “shield” over the hips), the Nodosauridae (forms with narrow heads and lacking tail-clubs), and the Ankylosauridae (the classic type with heavy armor over the body and tail-clubs).
