Turtle Travels
Think turtles have an easy life? Come out of your shell and immerse yourself in the amazing history of turtles and tortoises through Turtle Travels. This amazing, hands-on experience allows visitors of all ages to discover fascinating facts about what it’s like to be a turtle — how turtle bodies adapt themselves to many different habitats, why turtles need shells, the kinds of hazards they encounter in the wild, why turtles have been important to many different cultures, and more. The interactive stations allow visitors to try on shells, migrate on a gigantic boardgame, experience “turtle vision,” design a turtle-friendly housing development and more! A trek along this turtle terrain surely shows that slow and steady not only wins the race but takes turtles on some amazing journeys too!
