SUMMARY:    The Facilities & Exhibits Operations Technician III will work to perform high level maintenance to ensure the upkeep of the facility and exhibits.  Will be hands-on in the day-to-day operations and routinely inspect the facility, mechanical equipment, and grounds to ensure they are maintained in good working conditions. Will follow work policies, procedures, programs, and workplace services, and practices with delivery that provide a well-managed and well-maintained facility. Will place emphasis on a positive response to the concerns and needs of museum guests, internal and external, environmental health and safety, and quality programs in coordination with the Museum’s goals and objectives.  Will work with inside and outside vendor services, janitorial, and security Departments with a friendly attitude. 

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma and minimum two (2) years’ experience performing building preventive and/or exhibit maintenance. Working knowledge of building mechanical equipment. Ability to access all areas of the museum and IMAX theater to perform building maintenance, such as basic plumbing, electrical, AC, and carpentry.  Need computer and systems knowledge, strong literacy in MS Office Suite. Knowledge in Continuum Building Management System software and industrial HVAC systems and experience with Simplex Fire Panels, Fire systems and emergency power equipment a plus.  Basic knowledge of security systems and door access controls.  Experience in Crestron Lighting Control systems is a plus. Experience with operating industrial equipment such as forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, and welding, is a plus.  Must be a go-getter that can work alone or in group settings and be trustworthy. Requires a vehicle to pick up parts and materials.  Valid driver license.  Must get First Aid certified within 90 days of start.
